Piracy In Blogger?

I was wondering all these while, whether Blogger have this intellectual property rights protection thingy to authenticate bloggers' write ups. Sometimes people would stumble upon some bizzare revelation on, maybe the discovery of a new species of nose hair, and excitedly post them up in Blogger and suddenly see someone else earn a Nobel Prize with your revelation.
I may have exaggerated a little, and most probably we bloggers would not have any line of silver pens laid out on our table at any time soon ( take this lifetime). I was just wondering if any other bloggers in this world feels that same unsettling feeling, or is it just me? I mean, I don't want to see my stuff lying around someone else's blog and him/her taking the credit for it....
